For more than 50 years, Hamilton-area builder DiCenzo Homes had been putting its signature stamp on neighbourhoods across southern Ontario. Now it was time to build a home for the company itself—on the internet. We helped DiCenzo express its brand through words and imagery, with a particular focus on the company’s charismatic president, and designed a custom WordPress website that could grow with the company as it continued to break new ground.

HELPING OUR CLIENTS FEEL AT HOME

DiCenzo’s most recent website had gone live in 2011—and a lot had changed since then, both in the client’s business and the digital landscape. We had deep discussions with key people at the company to learn more about their goals, accomplishments, challenges and audiences, then translated that information into a mood board, including brand statements. We also spent a day on-site at two of DiCenzo’s multi-million dollar homes, providing art direction on a photo shoot to generate custom imagery for the website.

A SOLID FOUNDATION FOR THE FUTURE

The client’s feedback helped set the direction for the first release of the website and close collaboration between DiCenzo and the team led to refinements in the copy, design, imagery and user experience over two more releases. Not only did the custom WordPress website meet DiCenzo’s strict standards for sophistication and style, it established a solid platform for the company to achieve its future business goals through digital and inbound marketing.
